TranGO Modifies Fixed Route Service In Response to COVID-19
Effective April 1, 2020
TranGO is implementing reservation based fixed route service to improve safety for passengers and employees during the COVID-19 outbreak in Washington State. In order to comply with Governor Jay Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” proclamation (20-25), TranGO will reduce the number of passengers on the bus at any particular time to allow greater opportunity for social distancing, and will limit trips to only essential service destinations. This will allow us additional time to disinfect between routes and keep our drivers safe, so we can continue to serve those that depend on us for their transportation needs.
Transportation will be limited to local providers of essential services. Employment transportation will be provided throughout the county to support other essential workers.
Essential service destinations include grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, post offices and local health care facilities. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please contact your health provider. They can advise you on the safest way for you to access the health care you need.
When you schedule your trip, you will be asked if you use any assistive equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, or oxygen), so we are able to ensure the space required to accommodate those items. You will also be asked if you need to bring a personal attendant. Only passengers with reservations will be allowed to board the bus. To make a reservation, please call 509-557-6177 the day before you want to travel. We will try to accommodate same day requests based on space.

We will get through this together.

Health and Safety Alert
We take the health and safety of the public very seriously. TranGO drivers sanitize buses daily and also have sanitizing wipes available for each passenger as they board the bus. Please use the wipes for your hands and for seat belts and the rails you touch while riding the bus.
If you are sick, please contact your doctor’s office before riding the bus to a clinic or hospital. We want public transit to be safe for everyone to ride.
With the concern of Coronavirus (COVID-19), TranGO is following the guidelines of the Public Health Department and want to encourage the pubic to do the same:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water aren’t available
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
- Disinfect objects and surfaces
- Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue of sleeve when coughing or sneezing
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home and way from others if you are sick
We are receiving daily updates from the Health Department and will follow all recommendations to help prevent the spread of disease. For additional information, please review;
